Will The "Masters Girl" Return???
Oh, boy, it is time to watch The Masters Golf Championship!
My biggest question is not “Who will win the Masters?” but “Will the Master Girl Return?”
As of this writing, I Googled this latter and found no hit.
Remember this picture below.
After the 2023 Masters, I posted the photo below on my Facebook page and wrote, “The Masters Girl and who???”
Three commenters replied, “Babe Didrikson Zaharias??”

No, she was my MOTHER!!!!
Her senior class picture was at Point Pleasant High School in West Virginia in 1939.
I am sure my Mom was a golf widow since her hubby (my dad) was always hooked by watching the golf tournaments on television. My dad’s favorite golfer was Phil Mickelson.
Back to Masters Girl!
Her name is Aaliyah Kikumoto.
Shockingly, she commented, “That’s me,” on a 15-second TikTok [subscribed] showing at the Masters.
It caused hundreds of publications about this story, even more than the Deaflympics stories.
At first, the media identified her as a Texas Tech cheerleader and then corrected her by saying she was a Texas Tech Pom Squad member.
I had no idea whether she came to Morgantown, WV, with her Texas Tech football team for a September 23, 2023 game.
Again, Kikumoto gained more fans after showing off her golf skills.

Will we see her during this year’s Masters?
In closing, one commenter responded to my question about my mother by commenting, “So that is your Mom? She is beautiful in both pictures!” Ironically, she has yet to meet me and my Mom in person!
