Real Vacation or Not

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines vacation as “a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation.”

During this period, I told my friends back in the States, “This is not my vacation!”

Puzzled? I HAD FOUGHT to survive by sleeping under a roof! The dictionary mentions “from home.” After moving back to Rehoboth Beach, DE, from Washington State in late 2016, finding affordable housing in the coastal area was very difficult.

The above picture is actually about my second Airbnb-Hopping. The first one was from September 2018 to January 2019. The Cape Gazette newspaper ran the article to tell readers about my plan for Airbnb-hopping. It quoted, “Gorrell got a bright idea for residing while waiting to be called up … renting Airbnb properties in Italy. No background is required. No deposit is needed. There is no waiting.”

Recently I checked my Airbnb history and found out that I had stayed in 47 properties since 2013-!!! I will happily give you my Airbnb tips in paid newsletters later, probably after Labor Day.

Again, I promise to describe each stop of my last adventure in paid newsletters later.

Update on USA Deaf Swimming Superstar Carli Cronk

Her father posted on his personal Facebook page that Carli had the 12th Gold and 15 medals after the World Deaf Swimming Championship. I guess the organizing committee had no time to post each event’s result on Facebook because they had to do it for the farewell dinner. However, you can click on www.deafswimming2023.com.

Update on CSUSOP Public Hearing

The Commission on the State of U.S. Olympics and Paralympics has yet to announce the first public hearing.

Recently, Arizona State University happily announced that Victoria Jackson, clinical associate professor of history at the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies, to testify before a congressional hearing on behalf of the CSUSOP next month. Who is she?
