In the past college seasons, my die-hard Deaf Penn State friend has always posted on her Facebook page:
Maryland. Please beat Ohio. Md, you can do it
Let’s go Michigan. Beat the Ohio. Let’s go blue you can do it 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Good job blue. Michigan. Sorry ohio
I reminded her that Ohio is Ohio University (OU), not Ohio State University (OSU). So she took my advice.
Let’s go, Notre Dame. You can beat Ohio State ass.
BORING GAME. OSU is the pig. Hog hog
Is Ohio University the same as Ohio State?
Ohio University is a public research university in Athens, Ohio. Ohio State University, commonly known as Ohio State or OSU, is a public land-grant research university in Columbus, Ohio.

Interestingly, I found the logic below in the private Facebook group for OU alums.
Ohio beat Buffalo; Buffalo beat Northern Illinois; Northern Illinois beat Notre Dame; Notre Dame beat Indiana; Indiana beat Michigan; Michigan beat Ohio State.
Therefore, Ohio is my National Champion.
So, as an OU alumnus, I had to double-check it, and then I added the scores.
Ohio beat Buffalo - 47-16 on Oct. 26
Buffalo beat Northern Illinois - 23-20 on Sep. 21
Northern Illinois beat Notre Dame - 16-14 on Sep. 7
Notre Dame beat Indiana - 27-17 on Dec. 20
Indiana beat Michigan - 20-15 on Nov. 9
Michigan beat Ohio State - 13-10 on Nov. 30
The logic was created for Matt Freedman, a Chicago-area native who graduated from Ohio University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and from the same university in 1998 with a Master of Sports Administration and Facility Management. He is the Chief Operating Officer at Ologie, a Columbus-based educational marketing and branding agency.
Since 2014, Freedman has managed his family's annual Thanksgiving fundraiser: Fry Out Cancer.
And congratulations to Freedman for creating his football logic and fund-raiser.

After the College Football Playoff National Championship, I posted the following on my Facebook page.
Like many OU Bobcat fans, I always cheer for OSU, except for the OU-OSU football games. In basketball, I cheer for the Dayton Flyers in the OSU-UD games. (My late father received his Master’s degree from OSU but was a strong fan of the Dayton Flyers.)
So, we will find out the result of the OU-OSU football game on September 13, 2025. I plan to attend it, as I did in 2010.
Psst: Oberlin College and Conservatory was the last in-state school to defeat Ohio State, winning 7–6 in Columbus in 1921.
Again, Psst: The OSU name comes from its original name, Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College, which was changed in 1900.
